MAKING BEATS

Been working on heaps of beats lately.

My 1st solo “City Lights EP” was 98% complete and got to stage where I’m picking tracks and orders.
Also been learning more about mixing to make this piece a real work or art. Previews in my myspace page so
peep that. Track is called “Blindfold”

Also, been working on my Korean team “Sunday2pm”’s single.
We’ve all been busy with our personal stuff and finally got our minds made up and started working
on 2~3 tracks. soon to be out in Korea’s digital market (ie. bugsmusic, melon, soribada and shit like that.).

Also I thought that I got way too dependant on sampling on my music and decided to
write some original stuff of my own and also wanted to expand what I can make so I didn’t really
set a typical genre when I made them. I found them more fun than just sampling but I miss that
touch of the warmth from old songs. BUT! I’ve been pumping out around 3 tracks every night and
feel good to be back in love with creating something from scratch.

Anyway, I’m just letting y’all know that I’m still alive working hard.

Madlib.

For others he may be the illest producer but to me, he’s the strangest.
Many of his works took time for me to get used to and made me question myself over and over
why I tried to get used to things when it should be just enjoyable to start with. (am I making sense?)

Anyway, I realized that I was rather addicted to his works. Well, it’s kinda hard to explain but to me,

Kanye West = Bag of chips

Madlib = Cigarettes.

More people eat chips and it tastes nice and everything but cigarette’s harder to quit. You dig?

it’s like I tried to be cool and picked up Madlib’s CD just like how I tried smokes
back when I was in high school. I stopped eating junk food but I still smoke. You dig?

Hope I made some sense… Anyway, I’m talking about this MADLIB thang cos I saw some hot from the
hypebeast.com and it’s one of the MUST GET item of the year. Peep this;

Random Shots

It’s been a while hey? I just been wondering around to see whats around me.
meanwhile, i tried to take some descent random pics to see if my camera was a “good buy”.

Anyway, Frank, Arch, Sam and I decided to go down to skate park in the city.
I haven’t skated in ages but yeah it was a good night to cruise and all except for the fact that
we had to share two decks between four of us.

I got bored quickly and started taking random shots and ended up taking this shot of famous
Melbourne Art Center. I remember gong to this sneakers gallery next to this building which is NGV.
(by the way, they sell these cheap LOMO cameras and they’re dope!)

It would’ve been a good night if them TB’s didn’t rock up with bats for their rampage lol.

Also, few days later I took more shots of random stuff around the city so peep them too.

lol, I know they ain’t great so shut up
